Built Here, For The Way We Live Here
We work out of Victoria, and that is not a marketing line — it is where our trucks start every morning and where most of our fences, decks and patios end up. Victoria is an old town by Texas standards, laid out around De Leon Plaza with the courthouse, the historic homes along North Street, and the big pecans and live oaks that make Riverside Park feel a good ten degrees cooler than the parking lot at the mall. Any contractor who has worked here a while knows those trees are both the best part of a backyard and the reason a fence line has to be planned instead of just trenched.
The weather is the real design brief. Summers run long, humid and brutal — triple-digit afternoons with sun that fades stain and warps cheap lumber. Then the Guadalupe swells after a wet spell, the blackland clay in one neighborhood swallows a post while the sandy loam a few miles away drains right through, and every few years the Gulf reminds us what forty-mile-an-hour gusts can do to a poorly braced patio cover. We build with all of that in front of us: deeper post holes, proper bracing, hardware that will not bleed rust down a picket, and shade structures engineered for wind, not just for looks.
Victoria County itself runs from the edge of town out to Bloomington, Inez, Nursery, Placedo, Dacosta and the country around Coleto Creek. In town we build wood and vinyl privacy fence for neighborhoods off Navarro, Sam Houston and Mockingbird, ornamental aluminum for pool enclosures, and covered patios, pergolas and outdoor kitchens for families who want their backyard usable more than four weeks a year. Out on acreage it turns into farm and ranch work — barbed wire, three-rail, goat and sheep panel, cross fencing and entry gates that hold square through cattle, tractors and a hard summer.
We also cover roughly a fifty-mile radius beyond the county line, which puts most of the Crossroads within an easy drive. Same crews, same materials, same warranty — whether you are three minutes from our shop or an hour down the highway.
